I wonder when anyone will get serious about this. There aren't many levers to pull, honestly. This is an impossible situation to reverse without some type of entitlement reform, the numbers really just don't add up.

Also glad the Fed is ignoring (for now) the politicians. Love that theDonald is telling the money honey that Powell will be trying to help Biden this year and the lefties urging relief to address a housing crisis. If our only tool to address housing issues is the Fed Funds rate, we have bigger problems. If you have a budget and a number in mind for housing expense, there are different ways to get there (i.e., the cost of the property itself and the cost of borrowing - its a sliding scale). There is clearly a supply issue as well that could persist for a while, we might want to think about how to address that too (clearly reducing rates is faster and easier).
